Our country house is located in Medellín Polo Club neighborhood (a private and exclusive gated community of chacras), 1.5 kilometers from the roundabout to José Ignacio town –which is on km 176 of Ruta 10.

About 36 km from Punta del Este beach resort, Uruguay.

SUITES
La Fiaca has 4 bedrooms, each themed in one color that gives name to it. There are two Master suites: Red and Green, placed at the end of the house for privacy, with a double bed each; And two Twin suites: Yellow and Blue, featuring 2 twin beds each. All the suites have an ample view and special details in furniture and decor which make them a treat to the senses.

Set on its own 2.5 Acre plot of land with spectacular sunsets over lagoon and ocean, near to pine and
eucalyptus forests, you will find an impressive stone Residence with the ambiance of an old Manor.
Towering 20 feet vertically, the building has very high ceilings and 28” thick rock walls. Light is abundant
with skylights and windows throughout and the interiors are decorated in earthy tones and with exquisite
taste.
A luxurious 6,650-square-feet residence which incorporates real antique fixtures and fittings.
15 feet high ceilings and very large reception with crystal chandeliers and huge stone fireplace fit for a

door is made of very old pinewood with iron hinges.
The beautiful gourmet kitchen has custom antique wood cabinetry, an old English porcelain sink (signed)
that is 80 years-old and marble Carrara countertops.

Equipped with top of the line kitchen appliances: steel finish refrigerator, stove top, microwave and gas
ovens.
Pantry adjoins the kitchen, the maids Quarters and a two vehicle carport.
The Country Estate has four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, a family room,
a formal dining room and a huge fireplace.
Each living space is oriented for optimum panoramic views of ocean and lagoon.
Two master suites are located at each end of the home for Privacy
Every room has 15-foot ceilings.

THE ARCHITECT

Guillermo Matías Alonso´s designs are outstanding for being timeless and eclectic; for the use of basic, durable and noble materials such as naked stone, brick, hard woods and concrete. All these materials are worked and crafted with techniques which are rarely used these days of standardized, dry construction. The woodworks are tailor-made and they are designed with the client.

Each project is completely personal, with no catalogues, studying every corner of the building with the client.

Guillermo Matías Alonso’s houses have the characteristic of not disclosing their age. The use of stuccos worked with the classic methods; demolition ironworks; woodwork designed and crafted with moldings and boards; and the use of old wood and furniture’s (from e.g. old drugstores), invokes in those who enter to them, a feeling that they are in a building made 80, 100 years ago.
